Forgiveness . . . even for presidents,

Hard not to be angry. Couple of things that gets me across that threshold quicker than an instant are being lied to, stole from, watching someone bullying another and folks dissing my faith when for the most part they don’t have the first clue. Other than that, mellow is the name of the game. Reckon that’s true because I’ve been on both sides of the first four and the rest of the commandment breaking has pretty much come natural.

That said, ain’t my place to judge so what follows truly is not me passing the good or bad on anyone. To do so would be to condemn me and before I found Jesus, toward the end of my non-believing days, I did a bunch of.

As promised, when I found my knees and asked for forgiveness, He kept His word. (1 John1:9) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

But I digress.
. .
Proverbs 6:16–19 comes along under the law of Moses that says there are 6 things that God isn’t too fond of: well seven actually,
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Some cross paths with the seven deadly sins found their basis in the Ten Commandments and they are typically ordered as: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.

All told these seem to have a common thread. Pretty much plain “in sight” kinda stuff. Hate to say this but can’t deny reality and there are a few folk I know fit most of these to a “T”. One, in particular, comes to mind and he needs to change up a bit and find Christ. There is a lot more at stake here than preserving a seat of power. Your authority, as given, is only yours by the will of God.

“He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. “Daniel 2:21

God allows some the chance to do great good for the peoples He placed under their charge. That one nation under God placed you in a place of unequaled authority and now those same people have again spoken. It is time to go. The season has changed. You condemned yourself by your own greed and avarice. Your lust for power and need for wealth is self-proclaimed and ultimately must be left behind. You can’t take it with you, the grave ends that for us all. The hounds of justice await beyond the seat of power and protection. Soon that ends even for presidents, the scales of God’s justice weigh evenly. Unlike Lady Justice, His eyes see all. He, and more souls than you can imaging have also seen:

Some examples of the above-referenced scriptures . . .

1.) Pride which goeth before the fall: Your pride keeps you from admitting defeat and stalls a smooth, and needful transition of power.
2.) A lying tongue. Google counts over 20,000 of them and that’s just the ones they know about. President’s surely should not make a practice of it.
3.) Hand’s that shed innocent blood. In the pandemic alone due to your indifference or worse, deception. 12.3 million cases of Covid-19 and 253 thousand deaths from it at this writing.
4.) Wicked imaginations, deceptions. Undermining the very basis of our democracy by filing frivolous lawsuits to subvert the rightful outcome of an election you lost.
5.) Feet running to mischief. Last-minute panic legislation and executive orders designed to undermine the peaceful and rightful transition of power to the incoming president. Accept it. You can lose to the will of the people after proving your true self worldwide.
6.) False witness: “I won the election” and “It’s going away, we’re turning the corner.” Like or similar deceptions fit well here. Not quite truthful there on either count.
7.) Sowing discord. Lies have split the nation, sewn the seeds of distrust, and because of greed-fueled love of money (of which the love of it the root of all evil) are attempting to cripple our country to the breaking point. For example; all our enemies know you can not defeat the United States of America from the outside, but only from the inside and you are crippling us by the very seeds of divisiveness you purposefully have sown.

Mark 3:25–27 “25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.”

Do you seek to destroy our nation to serve mere vanity?

To such leaders, it has been said, “You have drawn your path but even for you, Jesus still loves you”. “For God so loved the world, (including you) that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:22 This is also true of world leaders.

2 Peter 3:8–10
King James Version
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Verse nine says that He is even willing to forgive even presidents. For all of everything else you hold to be your world of greed and self-serving sustenance, verse ten means it is all for naught in the coming eternity. You have only to ask for His forgiveness and turn from your current ways and perchance the following may never be applied to you:

And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mathew 19:24

It can all change with one prayer.

Just me the motorhead,
